A source reported a very interesting connection that has emerged in Russia: the former head of the FSB’s Directorate K, Viktor Voronin, and the deputy chairman of Gazprombank, Tigran Khachaturov.
They work in close cooperation with Gazprom Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Vitaly Markelov.
Voronin currently holds the position of president of HC Dynamo and positions himself as someone very close to Arkady Rotenberg and VTB.
According to the source, Khachaturov works with Khristofor Ivanyan (Ivanyan & Partners, which is involved in lifting sanctions against high-profile individuals, including Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mother). Khachaturov’s preferred proxy is Vanik Vanunts, who is the registered owner of the seized company Sibuglemet.
Vanik is also currently the CEO of the Aurora Group, which, for five years, has managed Sportkoncept LLC, a company formerly owned by Roman Rotenberg. The security for Khachaturov’s projects is overseen by Alexey Dvuzhilov, a former security official and then head of the Information Technology and Communications Department of the Russian Presidential Administration (he was once a founder of Aurora). He was introduced to Khachaturov by former Skolkovo resident Yuri Yevstigneyev, who was convicted of fraud in 2025 and died in prison.

Khachaturov and his "team" were involved in a number of the most high-profile and scandalous projects involving Gazprombank. It’s enough to recall the Sibanthracite case, which our project covered. It was acquired by a clan of security guards (Khachaturov is extremely close to them), led by Oleg Polyakov. The enterprise was ruined, plunged into debt, and transferred to Gazprombank.
The source says that Khachaturov and his team were also involved in the Mega shopping center, Kriogenmash, Polyplastic, the Elginskoye coal deposit, and a number of others.

The Voronin-Khachaturov nexus operates through entities such as the Balchug Capital fund, GPB Asset Development, and GPB Komplekt. GPB Komplekt was used to embezzle significant funds from various purchases for private and government entities. It was also used to purchase goods for PJSC Gazprom, where Khachaturov-Voronin operates alongside Valery Markelov (deputy chairman of PJSC Gazprom and chairman of the board of directors of HC SKA). We previously reported that Markelov is among the deputy chairmen of Gazprom who would be willing to see Alexey Miller leave his post.

All of these companies employ various relatives of Khachaturov and people close to him with opaque reputations, such as Nakhodkin and Predtechinsky. Khachaturov was previously involved, through his associate Yusufov, in the withdrawal of funds from Investbank.
